I currently live in Chicago where I work for an ACE (arch, construction, engineering) firm. I'm contemplating a move to Charlotte, Raleigh or Nashville. I want to know if there is a lot of work in the area for a construction administrator, contract administrator, or specifier. Chicago is overwhelmed with firms so there's no shortage of jobs here in the industry. I know of someone who is a PM who couldn't find work in Charlotte so I'm concerned.
Thanks!

You're better off in Greenville, SC. All the biggies are there except Bechtel. A handful, if that, of small shops in Charlotte and Raleigh. I do know of a couple of big site projects getting ready to start and they're looking for local help. PM me if interested and I'll let you know where to look.
