I am considering relocating to NC from MA. Monroe looks just fine. Are there hospitals or psychiatric facilities between there and Charlotte, or around Monroe, where I could work without a long commute?
There are no Klu Klux Klan meetings in Monroe, right? Or people who will judge me for which church I don't belong to?
I don't need to be in left wing community, I just want to feel comfortable.
Thanks.

CMC-Union is the major hospital in Monroe. There is a relatively nice sized medical community built all around the fringes of the hospital campus.

No one mentioned one stable of shopping in Monroe (across from the Mall) for as long as I can remember:

OK, I have to say this. If you want a KKK meeting, just go down to the Cape. That's the last one I heard about. And I mean Barnstable, Cape Cod, MA in 2006, before I left the South Shore to come here.

Sigh...I so tire of these questions. I am completely convinced that you find just what you are looking for, no matter where you roam. Come visit, if you like what you see, stay. If you don't, keep on keepin' on. Let's please not slander Monroe over someone's stereotypical view of small town south.

Where are you getting your information? Monroe has a lot of nice options and is a nice place. It's one of the few places not totally overrun by sprawl.

No but I believe with comments like these in the community, you will be left out in your very own community feeling very uncomfortable.
