It's far from certain, and way early to bank on it, but computer models are consistently showing a high chance for a major winter storm in the Charlotte area this weekend. Now is the time to begin to prepare, including getting snow shovels, ice melt, candles, and generators. Those crucial items may be difficult to find anywhere in the Carolinas and Virginia by Thursday night.
What would a snow shovel be used for? Down here we just let it melt. I will be buying 8 gallons of milk and 12 loaves of bread. Nothing like milk sandwiches after a good snow.
We get back in town late Saturday night after a week, not many groceries in The house. Hope there's something left Sunday morning. Have to be at the kennel at 9, so may hit up the store before that.
That's good news since the worst always seems to avoid him. Maybe we can get just enough warm air to keep it mostly rain, since unfortunately, enough cold air to keep it mostly snow is now off the table.
