I may be moving to the Charlotte area soon. I have looked at the CATS routes and called CATS to ask questions about their paratransit service for disabled people. And the people I talk to on the phone deny that their transit system even goes places the internet says it does. So, who's telling the truth? And does the 82x route really even exist?

According to their website, 82X is still operational. Are you calling 704 336 2637? It's their "schedule a trip" phone line. They may be able to help you directly or guide you to who you need to talk to. In any event, go by what a person is saying because Tech may not be quick enough or update the website.

CATS is notorious around here for sub-par customer service. It's mostly due to their leadership, John Lewis, who may be on his way out.

Transportation for handicapped, including paratransit, in the Charlotte area. Try contacting "Carolina Transportation Care, Inc." or even the Charlotte Transportation Center. I have an autistic family member adult that uses transportation to go to and from work. He pays, but the charge is minimal and he has to book in advance. I am sure other options are available. Good luck.
