I was looking around the area in Oakhurst at some of the new development and I might be interested in buying a place. Since CVS drugstore is very close, I took a look to see what they had. I was surprised. It is a dump and has practically no food supplies and appears dirty and run down. It was disappointing. Does anyone know if there are any plans to redo or update the place since the area is updating? I noticed that this particular CVS has been rated 1-star on the internet which is as low as one can get. I didn't check out Aldis since it also has a one-star rating. Any info on either place.
CVS is a dumpy store pretty much anywhere... even in expensive parts of town. The gray carpet and general vibe of despair and sad miserable employees contributes to the atmosphere of America's largest pharmacy.
There's a WalMart just outside Oakhurst, not far from CVS. It's five minutes away from CVS. Take Lanier to Unaka and take a left. You can figure out the rest from there.
Are you referring to the MORA Aldi? I have been there several times and it was pretty similar to the other Aldis I have been to.
I think stores in general appear run down as compared to years ago. Seems like years ago the floors, counters, glass entry doors, etc. were cleaned and/or polished everyday. Now I have to wonder if some are cleaned once a week. Just a sign of the times I guess.

The one on Monroe Road is a dump and when I walked in, I saw no employees. The pharmacy wasn't open and it should have opened an hour and a half before. This one is truly ghetto.
The CVS on Sharon Amity is coming up as 3.4 stars on google, which actually looks higher than most of the other area locations.
The Aldi is showing as 4.4, similar to most other Aldi's in the area.
I saw one star for both CVS and Aldis. If you visited the one on Monroe Road, you would see why. There may be another one CVS on Sharon Amity. There is no way this place could get a descent rating. I just looked CVS up again. The one on Monroe Road, Indian Trail is rated 3 stars, not the one on Sharon Amity at Monroe Road. Still a one star,
I had issues using their pharmacy . Once they even lost a prescription forcing me to make an emergency visit BACK to my doctor to get another one. This store has a habit of using clerks and druggist on a day by day basis.

Hopefully as the area improves, services at CVS and other places will as well. Not only did the place look gloomy, it was dirty and had a useless inventory.
