BofA is holding off building their branch at least for now.
Lowe's is delaying their opening until October.
Urgent Care, Family Dr. & Pediactrics coming soon to the completed building behind Walgreens.
The other buildings are being worked and should things should be opening this summer.
Which building is slated to be a McDonalds? I heard that both McD's and Dunkin Donuts pulled out of the development. So far we just have a ton of un-occupied retail space.
McDonalds is the free standing outparcel building currently under construction right next to Weddington Rd. Down from the Walgreens and right across from the Harris Teeter.
The Dunkin Donuts was supposedly going into the Ashton project (Target), the McDonalds is in the JDH project (Lowes Foods).
Any word on Chick-fil-a? I heard that they where going in over there.
Latest word is that they are again, NOT coming (were, then weren't, then were again). Ashton supposedly wants to limit the number of drive throughs in the development. CF was looking for a 2 window drive through set up, and Ashton is hesitant, with drive throughs at CVS, BBT & the unoccupied building adjacent to Target. I can't confirm this as true, but that's just what I'm getting off the grapevine.
That makes sense. The CF and the drive thru's at the arboretum are a nightmare. I didn't see how they were going to be able to handle that traffic in the small area.
Someone told me a Marshall's was going in but that seems crazy to me since there is one at Blakeney. I know Targets are everywhere too!
I would love a kitchen store.
