Moving to Concord, NC from Charlotte (day care, schools, stores)

Anybody know anything about where I can find information on utility companies, such as power, gas, phone and cable?

I need to move close to schools, stores transportation, because i'm raising my grandchildren and they bare really young so i will need the closest day care as possible so i can get straight to work to support them.
