I grew up on Tappahannock Dr. Imagine trying to learn to spell that as a little kid.
Tapphannock is a little town in Va. I think named after a Native American tribe. Some of your kids (and even some of you) may know in Chris Brown's song "Kiss, Kiss" he says "I'm just a country boy from Tappahannock, V-A, that's where I reside..."
We live on Pawtuckett - guessing it may be Indian related. It is near the Paw Creek area off of Moore's Chapel Rd.
After living in Charleston, SC all my life, I moved up here last year to follow fiance & his job. By the way, my mom was born & bred in Charlotte and spent a lot of her childhood in the Paw Creek area. She graduated from Paw Creek Hih School in 1937. It was a coincidence that I ended up on her old "stomping grounds".
Hopefully the picture shows up. I took it with my cell phone camera last time I was in Asheville because I knew no one would believe me without proof.
Fortunately - I don't live anywhere near Short Coxe Ave!
What were they thinking?!
To make it even better, the cross street is Southside!
