Hello,

Family and I are looking to move to NC.

We are looking for a very good elem school in a central area close to job and hospitals. My husband does IT Analyst work and I am in healthcare...ALSO being close to a bus line is key. SO with that said what neighborhoods in NC are good and bad?

You may want to narrow your search down a little more. Your question is like asking an IT analycist(sp?), "so tell me about computers." or in health care, "tell me about the drug Lipitor." There's so much info and each area in NC has different things to offer. Probably not what you want to hear, but I think(and it's just my opinion) you need to narrow it down a bit.

I also didn't go on the other posts to see if you were just looking in Charlotte or other cities in NC as well. Sorry, don't like to assume. I went to the website Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/studentAssignment07-08/plan/maps.asp - broken link) to start weeding through the char/mech schools.

It would help if you could tell us what your price range is. Central Charlotte contains a great variety of neighborhoods with a corresponding price range. You can find anything from $150K to $2 million. So why don't you start with your budget.

Close to what job location and which hospital?? And certainly you did not mean to ask about ALL the neighborhoods in all of North Carolina??? Did you mean Charlotte? Even so, there are so many good ones that they are too numerous to begin listing!

Please tell us your job locations and price range and we will have a place to start from.
