I have been here a couple of times. I have had nothing but great food here. From reading the other post on this board it sounds like I am one of the only happy customers with this place. This is the sister restraunt to Providence Cafe and the food is very similar, only without the Myers Park atmosphere. I would give it another try. Maybe they just had an off night.

Thumbs up This place is getting bad wrap!

I use this place all of the time with business clients. I have never had a bad experience! The food & service always good and you can't beat the location.

Frank, I gather you like this place?

I've been here half a dozen times over the past 4yrs and I would have to describe it as 'underwhelming' - particularly at that price-point

The service was average at best, my major problem being the lack of attentiveness (not rudeness). It seemed that the servers were responsible for tables all over the restaurant, rather than giving them tables in close proximity - and I found this exacerbated when sitting out on the patio. Maybe there's a problem where the orders are punched in at, because it takes an age between ordering and receiving drinks, the bill, etc

The guitarist who plays on Saturday nights is very good, however.

I also like this place...service is sometimes hit or miss but overall the value is there. They have a great patio and your right about the guitar...nice! FYI try the crabcakes they are some of the best in Charlotte.

I was there once and it was okay....which is not what you'd want to get out of a place that charges as much as they do. For me it was always Boardwalk Billy's though. THAT place was great.

I don't think that this is owned by the same people as Providence Cafe anymore. I think it was bought out a couple of years ago by the guy who now also owns Phil and tonys and to be honest their menu has changed for the worse also. It used to be a good place for some decent bar food now it has supposedly gone upmarket but really hasn't.
