I am looking for a good carribean or island style restaurant that caters. Any suggestions? Preferably in the south charlotte area, but can be closer to the city if they are good

TIA

Thank you! Do you have a preference for eithor of them? We are looking to do jerk chicken specifically, plus beans and rice.

Umm, which one is best? Not sure of those two. To me, they're about the same. Actually, my favorite place for Jerk chicken is Mama's on Central Avenue. I've put the address below. They probably cater too, you might want to check with them. Addies in NoDa has pretty good food too, although personally, I don't care for their jerk chicken. Other stuff was good though. It's all about your taste though; I guess you'l have to go on a taste testing trip, LOL.

Addie's Jamaican Cuisine, 3116 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205, 704-331-0047
Mama's Caribbean Grill, 1504 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205, (704) 375-8414

I saw a report on the owners of this place a while back and they looked awesome!!! I think they cater. I would at least give them a ring, they're in Hickory but supposed to be the best.

We ended up going there and taste testing the foods and it was amazing and the staff was wonderful. And we are going to go with them, they have everything we were looking for and more We didn't really get a chance to visit the other suggestions mainly because they were a little bit too far for us, but thank you so much for the suggestions.

Antonys is not Carribbean at all. No oxtails, jerk, patties or such.--no decent West Indian restaurant will eliminate the above items from their menu. The food is horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place for anymeal.

I go to Two Forks Up, truck usually located on Independence in front of Salon Central. The owner is from Grenada and half spanish. Her oxtails, jerk, tamarind juice are great. I know she does catering. I will look for her menu and respond back if I locate it.
