I was reading something about cell phones towers on here and it reminded me of certain areas I know my call will drop with certainty.

One area is on Ballantyne Commons Parkway, around Tom Short light. For some reason, my At&t call will drop each and every time.

How about you? Where are your "cellphone drops" areas?

There is a new tower or collocation on existing tower probably already in progress right beside the fire department beside Morrison YMCA but that is either for T Mobile, Suncom or Alltel and same for 4000 N. Sharon Amity .
(Those are the only ones I have done for Mecklenburg)
I never paid attention to the drop call spot on Sam Furr and if I have I probably blame it on the other party on the phone, and I rarely talk on the cell phone due to you gotta pay attention to potential crazy driving manuevers of other drivers in this area. I seem to never really have had a issue with Verizon across this state except a few valleys out in the sticks of the foothills.

Huntersville is becoming hard to locate a newtower due to alot of zoning restrictions and potential use of the land for something else that could be sold for later to make money on.
One of my favorites I have seen is this one in Chapel Hill.

What is funny is that I too rarely use the phone but when I am on Ballantyne Commons, I invariabley will call home to see if anything else is needed before coming home. This is where I lose the call. I have now waited till I am past that area to call.

Providence Rd. & Weddington Rd. area - doesn't drop call, but you can't talk in this area until you pass the "no-talk zone". I have Sprint.
