Did we get a thread started for restaurants open for Christmas yet? I don't remember seeing it.

Sitting here...drinking my coffee...reading & catching up on the last 2 days of posting & laughing my a$$ off! You all are too funny!!

How did everyone's dinners turn out??? String beans oreganatta, pork loin, corn chowda, beef stew, Brian's sawseege......it's making me hungry. We had lasagna (that I made) & real Italian bread (that i bought in NY & froze) last night....YUM!! Still decorating the house, should be done by the end of the week then I'll start baking next week. Christmas music & movies...I love "The Bishop's Wife"...the original, not the remake with Whitney Houston.

Mornin' All!

Been up but late on the computer. Just had a fun phone call . . . DH had left a message re: repairing a knife . . . and the guy called us back today, and his last name is a biggie on my family tree . . . and sure nuff - we are distant cousins, LOL. So that spawned a long discussion . . . this rarely happens to me these days. I hardly ever talk to another "native" unless they are family members!!! My gggrandfather's brother married someone in his line (his gggrandfather's daughter or niece).

Anyway - hope everyone is having a good morning. It's Monday. My mom is having back surgery here in CLT on Wed so we will see how that goes - need to help take care of her after surgery.
