Hey Rosie, my 1st job as a broadcast tech was in a PBS station. That's what we called 'em
Hey Southbound, any recommendations for colleges for broadcasting? DS is looking for BC/Journalism schools (he's a Jr.). He's torn btwn being in front of the camera or working behind the scenes. He's doing the MNN on cable for Mooresville HS this semester & loves it. He's always had "the bug"...did a little acting in NY & loves the camera work. Just trying to find schools that would fit. TIA!

Rosie the 2 best college programs that I know of for broadcasting are at U of P (University of PA) & Temple, both in Philly.
He really needs to do a lot of research. The techs are being cut in droves because of the change-over. The on-camera jobs have a tradition of instability.
