I am a self professed lazy person. Haven't seen the inside of a gym in years, but in college I was a big spin class/pilates/yoga buff. So question for you.
Any gyms/programs/dance classes out there that offer late sessions- later than 6pm during the week and on the weekend.
Also anyone know where I can learn to swim, I need a professional that works with uncoordinated adults...
And the hardest request is - any of these places in Concord? Tall order I know, but any help would be great.

Thanks,
One of my best friends belongs to the Y in Concord - the West Cabarrus Branch. She loves it, she takes a lot of those classes, she always leaves the office at 5:30 or 6:00 so they must have late classes. They have a terrific aquatics program, which she is involved with also. (That gal has a lot of energy!) Here is their URL: YMCA: About - Location - West Cabarrus (http://www.ymcacab.org/page.php?pg=99 - broken link)
and their contact info: 5325 Langford Avenue, NW, Concord, NC 28027

I agree about the Y. The folks (staff) at my local branch seem genuinely friendly and want to help you get back into shape. And with the FitLinx system they have, you can set the machines to work at your personalized level. I started at the Y this past Fall and I enjoy it alot.
My DW and I (prekids) bought a lifetime membership to Bally's back in NJ and that was horrible from the word go. It was expensive, hard to break out of, and the environment frowned on you if you weren't already in the greatest shape when your foot in the door. How de-motivating!
I don't think you can go wrong at the Y for regular fitness.
I am in the Y (did an intro to spinning this morning).
I actually enjoy going it does not feel like, your overweight what are you doing here with some gyms.
The instructors are actually nice (novel concept that) and will help you.
I have always had the attitude the Y is so expensive, but It really is a case of you get what you pay for.
If I go 20 times a month it works out at $3.25 a day or something like that, or if I went 6 days a week it's $2.58 a day and if you went every day $2.14 a day
Actually, the Wii is a good idea. My uncle (aged 96) uses the Wii in his nursing home to bowl!! And, the cool thing is, you never have to leave your house. (which takes away a few excuses) The Wii is actually fun, too. I am also a non-exercise person, but, I will bowl with the kids on the Wii!!
