Hi All.

We are looking with out 2 kids to move to Charlotte. I am an RN and my wife a massage therapist. We are looking for a neighborhood with possibly a community pool, walking areas, and in biking or walking distance to nearby grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. We are looking at homes about 1800-2000 sq. ft and paying no more than $150,000. Any wonderful places like that in Charlotte. We are ready to move to a big city with a small town feel. I recently visited and loved it.

Welcome to Charlotte, there are lots of posts similar to your request that's probably why you didn't get a fast response. You can start by searching the Forum for similar questions. Charlotte is pretty big as you probably noticed and depends on where you will work and how far you want to commute, you will find the right house. Your price point is a little low for South Charlotte except if you want a small townhouse or condo. You might have more options up north toward Huntersville and Cornelius. Good luck with your search and move.

Take a look at Wellington subdivision in North Charlotte. Fits your price range, you'd have a neighborhood pool, and you'd have access to the Mallard Creek Greenway in your backyard. There are some shops and stores nearby, although the neighborhood is off a 4 lane road. Plenty of people riding bikes and jogging along the road, but not sure about doing ti with kids. Schools are good too in that area.

For that price range look in North Charlotte(University) or SW Charlotte(Steele Creek area). Almost every comm. has a pool , tennis courts etc.
