[/b]Can you believe that Time Warner is willing to lose WSOC Channel 9!?!?!?! They really must not care that they are already losing subscribers to DirecTV and Dish Network by the thousands!

This was the last straw for me, I have had it with Time Warner's rip-off rates and terrible service. Now I won't even be able to get Channel 9 new and my ABC shows on them?!?!?! Good riddance!

This is so crazy - check out the story on WSOC's site:

Time Warner May No Longer Carry WSOC-TV & WAXN-TV - WSOC-TV News Story - WSOC Charlotte

I wouldn't get too worked up about this. The same thing happened a few months ago with Viacom. TWC was suppose to drop all of their stations on January 1st. That didn't happen.

To all of us with Time Warner cable, look at this!!!

Time Warner, Viacom Reach Deal

Having worked as a broadcast technician for 20 years, rest assured that this is a commonly used contract negotiation technique. Whoever blinks first loses.

If you would like a referral to dish, I would be happy to oblige.

Switched just under a year ago so glad I did.

This is a negotiating tactic. Too many powerful people in this town have TWC.

It will not happen...
