Hi. I am having infertility issues and may need to go on clomid. I realize this increases the chance of twins. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much a nanny would be in the Monroe/Charlotte area? I am worried that two kids in day care would be really high and maybe a nanny would be better. I just want to have a good understanding of the cost and know if I will be able to work if we had twins.

$15 an hour for a true nanny. If you just want a "babysitter" you can get more around the $10/hour rate.

No chance you could just stay home with them yourself? That's going to get expensive...

Thanks so much! Daycare in the Charlotte area is around 800 to 1200 a month per child right? It may come to the point that it would make more sense for me to stay home you are right but I am hoping there may be a lower priced alternative so I would be able to keep working so we could be doing well financially.

A recent thread had prices at $500/week for a true nanny, driving the kids to appts, fixing their meals, etc.

yes, we pay $1000 a month for our child in daycare at a very good center. So if you had two i'm thinking it would be cheaper for you to find alternate care. There are other choices besides nannies. You can have a stay at home mommy take care of them during the day or there are home day cares that are much cheaper than big daycare centers.
