We just purchased a home in the Hollister plan and will be moving in around early Aug. Just found out the kids will be going New towne and the new middle and high school. I am hoping to find someone thave lives around that area and has kids that could give me some tips on the area, and help my kids meet some other kids before they start school

I have one child at New Town and one that will be going to the new middle school. How old are your kids and where are you coming from? You can PM me....

once you get there, just hang out at the pool. You'll meet lots of families there. its a pretty friendly area, and there are lots of kids in the neighborhood, Which street did you buy on?

Default closing this Friday

we close this Friday and will be moving in the last week of July. I see the schools do not start until Aug 25. Are there any daycamp or anything like that near the Hollister plan to send a 7 and an 11 yr old? I need to report to work immediately and need to find a plan for my 2 younger children. Any ideas would be great

Thanks

One of your best bets is to check out the programs at the Siskey YMCA - very popular here. That, or have your older kids babysit their siblings

YMCA of Greater Charlotte

Highly recommend run by Siskey Y, Camp Eagle Rock (located no more than 15 min. from Hollister, my kids went there and it is very popular. Your children are perfect age and they have openings. My daughter is actually in her first year there working on camp staff.

Couldn't agree more. Same is true for any neighborhood out here. The parent's in your neighborhood will be your absolute best resource. Congratulations. You will love it out here.
