I am watching the news about the shooting at this club and it seems like deeeja vu. I swore this same thing happen at this location a few years ago and in the late 90's. Is this the former Club 2000?
And wasnt it shutdown for this then later a new club open at this spot again same criminal activity?

Wow, Club 2000.....I haven't thought about that place for quite some time. Yes, it's in the same location. Club 2000 used to always get pretty wild since it was "3 clubs in one" A "gentlemans" club, a Chippendales type club, and a regular dance club.!!!

That location seems to be always plagued with trouble.

That is the same place. It is now an "upscale" strip club owned by the Ricks chain out of Houston. They have clubs all over the country. Onyx is their "African-American brand". I think there are only maybe two or three other Onyx brand clubs besides the one in Charlotte. Since they are owned by a national company, it will be interesting to see how this plays out with them. BTW, that is also the club one of the Carolina Panthers got into trouble at ealier in the season; one of the linemen, I forget his name.

HA! Club 2000. Now that brings back some good memories. Well memories anyways I think it peaked in 2000. It was ok. Just to far to drive for me!

And it also use to be an after hours dance club. Open from like 3am - 7am. Went there a few times but after there was a shooting there I said NO more!

Seems like trouble follows what ever clubs opens there.
