I am considering an irrigation system in my yard and the guy that I have a quote from uses Hunter heads. Anyone have any experience with this hardware (ease of adjustment and replacement, etc)?

Very good product. Easy to adjust and well built.

I install sprinklers every day, Hunter PGPs about half of those days. I prefer them to Rainbird's 5004s, but they are both very good professional-quality heads.

P.S. Always a good idea to get more than one quote.

Oh, and adjusting them isn't difficult, but it can be a little tricky the first couple times you try it. Be sure whoever installs the system leaves you a couple adjustment tools. There's also a little pamphlet thingie that comes with a case of PGP's -- it has adjusting instructions on it, complete with illustrations.

I have MP rotator (now sold by Hunter but technically originated by Walla Walla) and have been very happy with them. If I were to get regular rotors, I'd get the Hunter I-20s in stainless.

Check out sprinklerwarehouse.com. I got mine there and was happy with them.
