Come on.

It just isn't helpful to post something like that. It's been around for weeks and already completely discredited. And it's played a role in a lot of the anger that might not be necessary (or constructive).

The fact is if you have the time to read the actual 1,018 page doc, it's nearly impossible to interpret any of it unless you've got extensive training in health care reform.

If anyone is interested in the "real" document here it is:

http://edlabor.house.gov/documents/111/pdf/publications/AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf (broken link)

The summary is also available, but not much easier to understand:

I would encourage everyone to look up the pages I listed in the actual bill and see how "discredited" the points are. Some may be a stretch, but most are dead on.

Be careful in assuming this is the only document to devour. No proposal has been set in stone. There is more than one proposed plan and they will continue to evolve daily.

I got in touch with the speaker of the house and the president and then started getting e-mails from Axelrod. I did not ask for a reply. I just wanted them to know where I stand on the issue. I think I know what Sue Myrick will do and it is useless to get in touch with Hagan. She is an Obama puppet.

BTW I watched Specter's Town Hall meeting and the only person I saw for the plan was asking for something that was not on it. My husband is going for a checkup next week and will have to pay for the whole thing himself, unless we are wrong. We are hoping to be wrong. This is the first time he will be going to the doctor since he is totally retired and does not have a second and sometimes third health policy. Medicare has no preventative healthcare. The things that will make a person more healthy and catch things early are usually not covered by government plans.

I don't think the plan is worth the paper it is written on. It is just another excuse to collect more taxes. A plan that would be good enough for the president and congress, the military, etc. would be a plan worth having. I think if there is a health plan it should be for everybody and make everybody have the same rules. I don't think congress would settle for a plan for themselves like the plan that is proposed, so I say throw it out and let us keep our good healthcare.
