just a heads up...it would not offend the irish if you ordered a black and tan ( i live in ireland) the irish refered to the british soilders as black and tans due to there uniforms....they did absolutely horrible things to the irish people....but that is another history lesson. but no the irish would not be offended i suppose the british may be though...doubt it though...you would have to be in a real unionist area in northern ireland for any such things to really offend
Guys - pavlova is Australian. It's my favourite dessert and eaten in Ireland but it's an Anzac thing. BTW I have let the organiser of the festival know of the complaints - shade, authenticity etc and it will be addressed for next year. Another BTW - the Irish who were there and I mean the ones from Cork, Dublin, Galway loved the festival and thought it was great - just so as you know LOL
Oh I know it is - that's why I thought it was funny when the person complaining about the 'Irish-ness' of the festival was going to bring it next year to increase it's authenticity!!!!
