From what I have heard (only from local rumors...so not sure how accurate) is that it is not going to be opened up now and that the building is now up for Lease or Sale.
I spoke with the gentleman that sold the property last week. He said that they still plan to occupy the building but Union County wants either a sewer line or storm drain moved before they will give them a CO. Basically from what I was told it is the county holding it up at this point. Originally I heard that CMC wanted to standby due to the economic situation but have since decided to move forward. Remember this is all hear say but it was a reliable source.
I spoke with my doctor today. Her office is set to move into that building, but it's slated for July 1, 2010! She stated that CMS, because of funding constraints, won't move the emergency dept to that site until then, so CMS won't have any other occupancy until then either. It's not for sale.
