I'm sorry it's been a factor for you, but I wouldn't make it the focal point of your relocation. Focus your energy on finding a job in the city of your choice rather than worrying about what small-minded people "might" think of you.

Racial prejudice is becoming more status quo every day. My son's friend (a mixed race female) was constantly harrassed when he lived in New Jersey by AAs for hanging with white people. I think around these parts you will find that whites are pretty tollerant.

I belong to a wonderful church that has over 30 countries represented. In this church we have alot of interracial marriages and you would be very comfortable. So if you decide to move to Charlotte and want a church home try Steele Creek Church of Charlotte.

I agree with the other posts that you would be very happy here providing you can find work!
