To those who want to live in Connecticut. I moved from Fairfield County 6 months ago. It is a million times better here. I wouldn't move back if you paid me. I laugh when I see people saying how quality of life is better up there. Quality of life is NOT better. It is lousier weather, more expensive housing, unfriendly people, nightmarish traffic (although the traffic here is brutal too), higher taxes. I could go on. Everywhere has its problems as Charlotte does. I wanted to put in my 2 cents !

Thanks for the reassurance that the decision I have made to move from Norwalk to Charlotte was a good one! I'm moving down next week (even though I have no place to live and no movers)!

I don't miss Fairfield county AT ALL. We came from Stamford, and do we miss it? Not one bit.

Well, I'd find a place to live. It might be crucial to your happiness here

I agree with jp. What kind of budget do you have? There are many areas from which to choose.

I agree entirely! I left CT 2 years ago to come here. I do not regret it one bit! It was the best thing I could have done for me and my family.

Temple Bar! Although I went there only a few times, I miss that place.

I am moving from Fairfield County, CT as well. I love Charlotte, but there are still things I love about CT. It just depends on what you are looking for...
