Me and my fiancee are looking at getting a lab puppy this week and want to make sure we research a good vet before we get him.

We live in the Plaza Midwood area in Charlotte and was wondering if anyone could suggest some good vets. Obviously, we want to ensure its affordable, good quality, and definitely convienent (ie good office hours, perhaps open on weekends, evenings during the week).

Would really appreciate any feedback!!! Thank you so much. Really looking forward to owning our first dog together!!

Matt & Corrie

I live near P-M as well. I know there's a vet on Commonwealth but I don't know anything about the practice.

We take our beagle to Long Animal Hospital on South Boulevard. We have received excellent care there, and they do have walk in hours on Saturday mornings if you can't make an appointment during the week.

Good luck with your new puppy; maybe we'll see you in the neighborhood!

Thanks for the info!! We ended up going with Commonwealth and it's great - as affordable as we've found and the vet and staff are super friendly (and absolutely loved our pup).

Take care and thanks again!!
Matt

That's great! I was going to suggest Commonwealth - not only do they LOVE their patients, they also offer holistic/homeopathic care as well.

We have a lab/boxer mix - I know you'll love your sweet doggie!

I would recommend Ohara Veterinary clinic on McAlway . We recently had a very sick dog and Dr Ohara saved her. Tell him you heard he helped the akita named YUMYUM and he will know we sent you.
