I like to check out Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales and find out what items on my Christmas list are on markdown.

I found a website dealdar that I had never seen before, that lists the latest tweets re: Black Friday, and thought you all might like it. It narrows the tweets down to 20 or less miles from you! I just discovered it this morning.

I compiled a list on my blog, too. Carolina Lifestyles

If you all have other links to Black Friday sales here in the Charlotte metro, I would surely appreciate the info. I want to start planning where to check ahead of time to make sure they even have the products I want in stock.

Thanx, Bibit. I hope the info is helpful. I know most of us are gonna be looking for bargains this year. I am always a big bargain shopper - why pay retail when you can get something on sale?

I am particularly looking for a GPS system for my dad. He will be 80 in a few days and I would feel better if he had a GPS system.

So I would especially be interested in a great sale on GPS navigators (for car).

I am going to go over to Staples and see what they have in stock and ask the sales people if they are getting more in.

I will definitely look at the TomTom. Thanks, Sunny!

Bibit - I hope I write well; been doing it professionally for most of my life, LOL!!! Thanx for lead on GPS.

I think the cult of mac "rumor" re: Apple being on sale is sheer hooey, btw. Too bad. Love my Mac . . .

Just wanted to update that I have seen several articles at various places online saying the Apple "sale" info is bogus. So for those of you who are Mac afficionados . . . looks very likely that the bargain info on Mac products is incorrect.

Pretty much all there is to know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday can be found on the following sites. I've been disappointed in the sales the last few years, and this year is no exception. Only a few things are tempting for me this year.

The $59 GPS and $139 bowl lift Kitchen Aid stand mixer at Walmart are great gift potentials.
