To many drama threads on Steel Creek JMO

Now I know I HAVE to get out there!

Seriously, I doubt it's that bad.

Not sure how it could be so huge yet I've managed to not get there yet. What's there besides housing? Any stores I might frequent?

I have a girlfriend in University. What's the proximity? Gotta ask her if she's been to Steel Creek. Wonder if she'd know.

Steele Creek is about 20 mins from the University area. It's not "that bad", it's actually a very nice area. It's a great location, convenient to everything. It borders Fort Mill so gas is lower than in other areas of town. Homes range from townhomes in the low $100,000s to the upscale Sanctuary neighborhood with $1 million - $2 million homes.

NC Girl, then I have been to Steel Creek! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your list.

We've been to the McDowell Nature Center multiple times, the Rivergate Shopping Center too.

I wasn't outside of my comfort zone but then again, I've lived a lot of different places and interacted with all different kinds of people.

Humourous how some people define an area. But then again, we're "slumming it in Monroe" (and lovin' it).

You're very welcome! I've never understood the "drama threads" about Steele Creek. am2 - I hope the list also helps you understand why Steele Creek isn't considered to part of South Charlotte.
