Hi all. We're thinking about ditching Time Warner, and watching all of our TV either through the internet or via Netflix streaming.

The only thing we're hung up on is football. I've read on the Windstream site that they do offer ESPN360. Here in my neighborhood, our Windstream internet is 3 Mbps (although we currently have Road Runner).

If you have Windstream internet access, have you accessed ESPN360? Did it work well? Did you hook up your pc to your tv, so you could watch on the big screen?

I had Windstream Internet, the 12Mbps package, rarely got more than 1.5mbps and the connection went in and out a lot. Switched to Roadrunner and am very happy with it, as I usually get faster than the advertised speeds and when it does slow down it never goes much lower than 7mbps. While a different package in a different neighborhood might yield better results, I am a bit skeptical of Windstream in this area. If you switch to Windstream, be sure you don't sign a contract with them so you can go back to Time Warner if you have the same issues with the service I did.

I've got Windstream and haven't had any outages for a while now, and the ones I had previously were due to a bad modem, which they replaced for free.

I've used ESPN360 only on the computer, didn't hook it up to TV but I got a consistant signal watch the Miami-FAMU game in October.

I'm sure you can try it out and if you don't like it, cancel w/in 30 days or something and I'm sure the Canes will have a game coming up soon to watch and I can get a better evaluation.

Good luck...

Have Windstream and have been very happy with it. Switched a few years back from Roadrunner. We do watch games on ESPN360. For the most part, reception and streaming is good. We have had some delays in games but not enough to bother us.
Dilworth Grille connects ESPN360 to their large screens for game watches.

Thanks so much for the info, fellow CDers. I think we've decided to ditch Time Warner. . . for good!
