Any comments/info on the apartments at Piper Station? I am hoping it is a friendly quiet neighborhood community (apartment complex). I talked with a resident before comitting to a contract, and he said only positive things. Anyone else with an opinion?

I lived there for about 2 years before moving into my house. It's a great location IMO, and relatively quiet. I lived next door the Resource Officer and that may have had something to do with it. I would suggest the 3rd floor apt. since I have had experience on their 2nd floors and the people upstairs had very heavy feet!!!

All in all, I was happy living there and not sure what they charge for rent now, but they were VERY affordable when I lived there!!!

Default Thanks

Great! We are in a 3rd floor, but we are towards the back of the complex and are on a hill, so the 3rd floor only has one flight of stairs-bonus! The office manager has been great to work with! Is traffic really horrible around there?

Nah....there's a light there, so it's very easy to get out. If you have to go west on 485 there's always traffic in the morning.

Is 485 W towards the airport? I have to take my parents to the airport right when I move in, so I was wondering how much time to allow for rush hour traffic?

There's really no good way to get to the airport from Rea Road during rush hour. You can go down Ballantyne Commons to Old Lancaster Hwy which turns into South Blvd and get on 77 North from Arrowood or Westinghouse, but then you run into traffic on 77.

I would suggest getting on 485 at Rea Road and you will sit in traffic until just past Johnston Rd and then stay on 485 until the airport exit. it's not that bad...just be glad you're not coming in from Matthews
