Hey all, recently moved down from L.I like everyone else and I love to fish. Does anyone know of any places that I can charter a small fishing boat and maybe a guide for a day/half day trip?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm looking to go out on Lake Norman or Lake Wylie.

You can rent boats at Lake Norman Marina, but the guide thing I am not sure of?

Default Fishing like LI

Kona44 you have been here long enough to know, is there anything on Lake Wylie like getting on a party boat from Captree boat basin on LI? These boats would take out 20+ people with a crew and a guide, supply the rods and bait and it was reasonably priced per person. Any suggestions out there?

I'm going to go ahead and say a fishing trip on either lake will most likely leave you unsatisfied. I've never heard of a guided fishing trip on either lake. Norman is pretty large and easy enough to get lost on. Wylie is pretty much a river with a few larger coves here and there. Not much chance of getting lost.

Try this web site Fishing with Capt. Gus! Lake Norman Fishing Guide and Charter Boat Service. He charters on Lake Norman. I'm not into fresh water fishing but his site looks like he knows the lake.
