Thanks a lot for the comments. I tried to contact Legacy Parks, 4 times over the phone and 2 emails. After 5 days, no answer from the rental office or the property manager. I don't want to rent at a place where is hard to reach people. I am trying to rent the place and they are not answering.... no thanks.

Instead I am getting an apartment on Bridges at Mallard Creek wher at least staff seem to be very nice ( at least to get my money).

Hopefully I have a good experience.

I only partially agree with your statement. I don't think any actual area can be considered completely "safe" regardless of where it is or what happens on the news. There are robberies and gunshots heard everyday (or at least often enough) in other areas as well, but that doesn't mean that it reaches the news all of the time. I remember when the west side of Charlotte was considered unsafe. That didnt stop us from moving there though. So an area is not always as bad as it is portrayed.

My family moved here last year from Maryland (Laurel-Bowie area) and have not experienced any issues with crime. We live in the Mallard Creek-University area in the Highlands at Alexander Pointe. The apartments are reasonably priced and nice and spacious. They are a gated community (though gate access is oftentimes not working, my biggest complaint). But overall the community is quiet and the units do come with garages. I think the area is nice, very reasonably priced and convenient to many things.
