Hi there!
We pay about $50 a month for water/sewer. That's two adults, an eight year old, and a two year old. We do A LOT of laundry and run the dishwasher everyday!
Isn't Cabarrus County having water issues? I know that Harrisburg is drilling for water. My girlfriend lives there and gets sand in her dishwasher. Gross!
Concord and Kannapolis received water rights from Lake Norman. Seems like C & K received the promise of 1m gallons a day to be pulled out of the Lake and it's allegedly not going to hurt the Lake at all. But many homeowners in NC and SC are throwing a fit over it, including the SC government threatening to sue the NC government because they need the water, too, and SC claims that NC just cannot give the water away to their towns and leave SC's to have problems. I don't know what has since come of it or will but I'd be asking my realtor questions about it if I were looking into that area. I'd be leary...

Let me know if you need anything else...
Nicole
Is that a house or an apartment Nicole? Im building a house in the county around 1700 square feet. Two adults, 7 year old. Anyone with similar conditions?
Whats the average water bill for Cabarrus Co not in the actual city limits of Concord?
My family of five pays an average of $100.00 per month. Very high but taxes are about 40% less than Char/Meck and insurance is about 15% less than Char/Meck. Personal property is also less(cars).
Overall well worth the cost of higher water bills.

Please get your facts straight. Cabarrus County takes no water from Lake Norman!! Our water comes from the Coddle Creek area in Kannapolis and the Yadkin River which is atleast 40 miles from Lake Norman.
The lawsuit you keep refering to is because Cabarrus County wants to take an additional 10 million gallons from the Yadkin River !! Thr River runs into South Carolina, hence the lawsuit !!
Hi Native,
It's a house, about 2000 sq. ft. for comparison purposes.
I'd like to add that we did some landscaping and have been watering the lawn/flowers pretty extensively and our bill came in at $100 last month. However, I knew it was going to be more b/c of that. Oh well, if we had irrigation it would be even more. But, a lot of my neighbors have wells for irrigation and that helps the bill also.
what about inside the limits of Concord? we have 2 adults and a 2 year old, no dishwasher, we have to wash dishes by hand! (actually saving us water in the long run because my husband likes to wash by hand AND run in dishwasher)
I live just within the city limits of Concord and also inside a subdivision. This dry spell is wiping my lawn and flowers out. . . BIG TIME. What, if any, are the steps I go through to get a well drilled in my backyard for irrigation purposes. I have a perfect spot for a well in my yard. THANKS!
