Any recommendations on reputable document shredding companies in South Charlotte area? I sometimes see posted where companies offer free shredding day which would be great but will pay to just finally get rid of the mess. I have about 50lbs. of tax documents, etc that I'd like to get rid off.

Go to Target & get a shredder. Shred a bit in the evening while you watch TV (during the commercials). It makes terrific mulch. I prefer cross cut for that purpose.

UPS stores have shredding service. I am not sure of the weight limits.

Hmm. Not sure if you can do this but if I had that much, I would take it in the back yard and just burn it in my old cast iron washpot. The ash is good for gardening uses.
