I think Huntersville is good if anyone has to commute into Charlotte. The commute is much quicker from exit 23. Otherwise, Mooresville is beautiful, too.

Huntersville will be CMS schools and Mooresville will be So Iredell/Lake Norman schools. There's a BIG difference. You may want to do your research.

Mooresville is served by either Mooresville City Schoolsor Iredell-Statesville Schools.

I think the OP said s/he wasn't wasn't working uptown... so I'd say either Mooresville, Huntersville, or anywhere in between would be good. I personally live in Huntersville but also like Davidson quite a bit and have heard good things about Davidson Elementary for the fifth grader.

Pardon my ignorance, but which school system is better? I am looking at Mooresville.

My boss lives in Moorseville.

Just do not ever get a job uptown, schools are better up there and he has an acre to roam around.
