Thanks guys for the opinions on the Belmont area. I suppose $600 for a 2 br within walking distance to Uptown was just too good to be true. I now know not to pursue that apt.
Another apt I will be looking at is on the western outskirts of Sedgefield. On Bank Street to be exact. It is officially zoned for Sedgefield schools. Can anyone tell me in advance about that area before I put this apt on my list of "serious ones to consider".
At this point I have looked all over Charlotte for a "safe" area w/lower priced rents but it's a challenge finding anything under $700. My job will be in the South Park Mall and I will rely on public transp. so the shorter I can keep my commute the better. Can anyone suggest a nice area in the southern part of Charlotte (within 5 miles from uptown) where I can find a 2br for $700 or less?
