Can anyone recommend a licensed/insured person or company that could build a 8x8 shed on site? The shed will be used to temporarily house rescued animals so there will be some customization necessary (working windows, steel door, venting, etc). The shed will eventually be insulated and have air conditioning.

Thanks in advance!

you may want to turn to another member of the organization you represent, if you are doing this on your own. there are a bunch of no kill shelters that use foster parents. i would ask them b/c they know exactly what you need constructed and can probably recommend or assist you in building one. also, look into other non profit animal organizations for assistance and habit for humanity for materials and labor.

good luck and i love what your trying to do! kudos

I will IM you tomorrow with someone I know.

Because it's an animal rescue, he will get material on his discount at a home center(HD/Lowes) and construction of the shed will be VERY reasonable(discounted).

Like me, he is a "dog person".

Update;

I left him message today. Has not answered me as of yet. Being that it's the weekend now, I'll give him until Monday.

Kla25;

I had not heard from him at all, which I thought was a bit strange. So, I stopped by his house. His wife answered the door and told me he had a stroke and then a massive heart attack a few days later. The following day, he passed away. The guy was 41 year old, in relative good shape too.

I felt sooo bad, it's like I caught her by surprise when I asked for him.
