I am a single mother moving to Chattanooga shortly with two school going kids (6th grader and 2nd grader). I am looking for an apartment in a good school district near downtown. According to my research Signal mountain school district is very good. What are good apartment complexes in that area? Please also guide me regarding other good school districts near Chattanooga downtown and rental options. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

At your kids ages, I would maybe consider an affordable apt where you want to live, and then attempt to put them into the magnet schools with a lottery. You will have Battle, CSLA, CCA, etc, etc. the
www.hcde.org website would list the lottery schools. If you work downtown, I do believe a few of those are for "downtown" workers,. not sure how that is worded, sorry.
