We are hopefully moving from Atlanta to Chattanooga in very near future. This country mouse hates the big city. Born in Nashville. What parts of Chatt should we avoid or what parts should we look into for relocation?

Avoid East Hamilton/East Brainerd/Ooltewah areas. Very congested. Hixson has grown too. Look at Soddy Daisy, or even farther out at Dayton. Look at Walden/Walden's Ridge... outside of Signal Mountain. Very rural and rustic.

also curious about Chattanooga (friends moved there a few years ago and they love it)- what about downtown? Are there large old homes that can be bought reasonably there?...

Smile City taxes, ? North Hamilton co.

WELCOME H." You do not say your budget , which would help with direction.....The city had been expanding its boundaries the past years with the Annexization . Middle of the county near County park Chester Frost is the line where no city taxes are added..... If you are retirement group this may be a consideration.
We have been in the Soddy lake area many years and a good mix of trees, water, etc.

C.J.C. The secret of this region was exposed years ago when VW located here.. Not really any house bargain flips anymore.. City cant build new Hotels fast enough .
