I've lived both country and city. Country is my preference for the serenity; peace and quiet, and open spaces.
Since my wife has special needs we have to live in the city near the medical centers.
Country mouse here.....have been just about my entire life !!! And I absolutely love it !!
Try the city for a couple years and it just wasn't for me !!
I can't really say that I'm a CITY mouse; I grew up in a suburb of a major Midwestern city, and hated it.
But I'm certainly not a country mouse, either; I like visiting the countryside, but the lifestyle would drive me buggy after a while.
So maybe you could describe me as a big-town/small-city mouse? I'd never live in Manhattan, and in fact I would be every bit as disoriented as the country mouse in the fable if I tried, but a city of about 200K or so people is just about right for me.
Country bred, born, raised then did the same when I started a family so will die country I am sure. At least in my heart in case of major health problems down the road makes me go live in a city place.
