How was Dollywood? I haven't been in years myself but it's a beautiful place. When I was little I wanted to be their gardener.

Hahahahaha, they do have beautiful gardens! We love Dollywood. Actually enjoy it more than Disney just because there is a lot of shaded areas, not near as crowded, and the shows are pretty good. They change all the time so it doesn't become boring. We get season passes about every year.
The cool thing if you want to make a weekend out of it is that if you come after 3:00, you can go back the next day for free. Seeing as most days they are open to 8:00 or 9:00 pm, kinda like a day and a half for the price of one.

Actually, this is nothing like living in Miami Beach, Orlando, Key West or any other big tourist destination. This town does have tourists, but not on any level to where they become annoying.

It's actually quite a good mix

I have to agree with Tridad, we did not feel at all like we were in a "tourist" area, like Orlando, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or any other typical tourist areas while we were in Chatt, more like just visiting a nicely restored town that the locals did for their own enjoyment, and they do enjoy it.
