America's Best Bang-For-The-Buck Cities - Forbes.com

Part of me secretly wishes they'd stop recognizing the Scenic City - so we can keep all to ourselves. But I am grateful for being welcomed as a transplant and imagine there are many more like me that long to live in such a great place.

I know what you mean, I've been trying to sell my house for a year to get my transfer to Chatt. Word like this gets out and everyone will beat me down there. Great news to hear, though.

Bake a sour-cream pound cake from scratch right before prospective buyers arrive. Our house in Greenwood, MO, was on the market for 6 months, and we got two offers (this was 4-5 years ago). Both offers came after my wife cooked one of her pound cakes and the house smelled like a bakery.

After the first offer (low-ball) she tried every baked item she could think of if we knew a prospective buyer was going to be looking at the house. But we didn't get another offer until she baked the second pound cake, and that offer was from the people who eventually bought it.

Not bad..My hometown, Syracuse is 15. I guess I know how to pick em. Luckily I just moved from Tampa/St. Pete that comes in at the bottom of the list.

First I was like "cool," then I saw it was a Forbes list and realized it holds the credibility of a Nigerian email.
