I don't have any suggestions, but Algonquin or near communities are not particularly Irish.

What exactly are you looking for? An ex-pat community or what?

A little Irish presence in Arlington Heights along with healthy mix of other backgrounds.

This is new one. If you are looking for someplace that makes bangers like a shop inn the Emerald Isle I really don't know that you even find that in the traditional south side neighbors of Chicago.

That said if you just wnt some folks that have Irish surnames I suspect pretty much any town with a Catholic parish will have plenty of that presence...

I know of a few Irish groceries on the NW side of the City. Homemade meat pies and corned pork.
