Doesn't make it any less crazy or stupid. I understand if someone had a job in McHenry and it ended and the best job they could find was in Chicago. That's life. With a housing budget of $530K, staying within 30 minutes of Riverwoods in a nice suburb with good schools is certainly possible. Sure, they may not get the country acreage that one would get in Johnsburg or Spring Grove, but I would much rather compromise that then have to waste another 60-90 minutes per day in my car.

And this is not a criticism of those towns, It's down right Wisconsin-esque up there! It's just too far.
