I am 37 single business analyst professional moving to the area for work currently making 75k. I will be looking to rent a one bedroom preferably with an outdoor space. I would like an area that has a lot of outdoor activities, farmers markets, restaurants, grocery, etc. What are some of the areas I should focus on, my office is in Deerfield.

I would add Highland Park, Glenview,and maybe Evanston if you don't mind the extra commute time. Glenview has the least vibrant downtown, but has the Glen and is near to outdoor activities. Evanston and Highland Park have the lake. Evanston would have the younger, hipper more urban vibe and obviously is closer to the city.
