On Dec.15 I lost a great dog who I was trying to save from being put down. He is approx.3-4 yrs. old and Black and White. I brought him home on that cold and rainy day before he had the artic air hit. I have approx.14 acres that is completely fenced in and he dug under the fence and escaped while I was tending to some other animals in the barn. He is very friendly and loves to give paw.
He was lost in the Dix/Texico, IL area and could be almost anywhere now. I want so much that he be safe, warm, and feed. Not one day goes by when I don't hope that this is the day he will be back. I would dearly love that he come back to me. If anyone knows of a Border Collie that was found in Jefferson County, Marion County, or Wayne County please let me know ASAP.

This is a Chicago thread. Post it in the Illinois thread. I doubt that the dog came out here to Chicago.

Have you found your dog? I have recently acquired a dog that may match your description. Do you have a photo?

You may want to contact the OP directly as this post was from 5 years ago. It would be an interesting story, though, if that was their dog after all these years........
