I was just wondering what suburbs this has or will be affected. I am thinking about Tinley Park or Orland Hills but not sure if the neighborhood will change. We are a middle income family (70,000 year between the both of us), please can I get some advice on some good south suburban neighborhoods. Thank you very much for you time!

Tinley Park or Orland Hills have never been bad. They cannot become gentrified until they become "bad" which I dont see happening for at least 30 years, if ever.

South West burbs don't fall into the "bad" reputation that many of the South burbs fall into. There are many very nice South West burbs that have great schools and are not in danger of becoming bad areas. This includes Tinley Park, Orland Park, Orland Hills, Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox, Homer Glen, to name a few. All are great choices to live and raise a family. If you want to check school stats in the mentioned areas, GreatSchools.net is a great resource.

Tinley and Orland Hills are very nice areas and will remain so unless there is a catastrophe and the US economy collapses - and that would affect a lot more that Tinley and Orland Hills.
