I live in central IL and love to take the train up to Chicago. However, if I don't book way in advance I end up spending a lot on train tickets when I go with my friends. We prefer to drive to the suburbs and take the train in. However, we always have a difficult time finding parking. Are there any train stations (preferably semi-close to I-55) that have parking we could use for the day? We used to park at a friend's dorm or at my aunt's but neither of these are options anymore.

The closest one to I-55 is Summit, but offers only 3 trips in (AM rush) and 3 out (PM rush). But at the junction with I-80, go east and you have access to several more. Some even have message signs saying how many parking spaces are available. Since they are on the Rock Island line, there are trains throughout the day, even a few on weekends.
