You can also get Lou's shipped anywhere in the United States on dry ice at Lou Malnati's - Tastes of Chicago but it can be a bit expensive. The more pizzas you buy, the better the deal though. For example, 1 pizza shipped is $40 but 6 pizzas shipped is something like $80 or $90.

oh, just to be clear, I was talking about the frozen Gino's East deep dish pizzas they have at Da Joolz. they are usually $6.99 but sometimes go for $5.99 - 2 full pounds of deep dish goodness, it's the best deal I've ever found, and clearly illustrate a conspiracy between Gino's and the elastic-waistband manufacturers.

How similar is the frozen Gino's East pizzas at da joolz versus the fresh ones in the restaurant? How much quality and taste is lost?

On a trip to CA we ordered what I would consider the worst pizza ever. I think we all ate one slice and then didn't have an appetite. I rarely eat deep dish pizza. It isn't that I dislike deep dish...I just prefer thin crust. Plus it is so hard to get a deep dish made right. Pat's has to be one of my favorite pizza places. The crust is super thin and the sauce has a really good flavor. I am trying to perfect my homemade pizza. It isn't too difficult to make the crust but I'm trying to get it to be the right consistency. The crust is always a little too soft for my tastes. I like more of a thin, cracker like crust. Mmmm.....now I have a taste for some pizza!

Why not come back to Chicago and stay? I did. I was 38 when I came to Chicago for the first time. My last day here, I put a deposit on an apartment, went back home to pack and came back to stay. I have no regrets, except that I didn't do it sooner.

Why has no one mentioned Connie's Pizza? They're good too! And I go to John's Pizza in Bucktown too. Very rarely eat Dominoes or Pizza Hut.
